Hi my name is Jeanie S. Im a recovering alcoholic from Miami, FL and my sobriety date is 4/6/2015. I have 230 days today. Im so grateful Im an alcoholic today because if I wasnt then I wouldnt have gained so much awareness on myself and I have a place where I can go where people understand me. My family doesnt understand me. I got my addiction from my grandfather who passed away when I was 7 months old. If there was one person I could bring back to life, it would be him. I wish I could ask him how he felt when he was in his 20s and if he ever tried to get sober. There are so many things I want to know, but whats important to me the most is acceptance. Not just acceptance towards myself, but of my parents accepting me for who I am. Im so grateful I found this podcast. I listen to it every morning when I wake up. I also take public transportation and I listen to it while Im waiting for the bus or train and while Im on it. It puts me in a good mood. I recommended it to my sponsor and my sister who is struggling with her addiction. I love you guys. Thank you.

I had to take a trip and was very busy the entire time. My mom had told me about your podcast. I ended up listening to 6 open talks and 3 shows over the weekend to fill my open time. Along with prayer this helped to fill that spiritual void I get when I cant attend meetings. Thank you

Mark and his guests always say something I need to hear. Theres never lecturing or condescension. Just people sharing theyre experiences. I started listening two years before I decided it was time to get sober. At the very least, Marks voice makes great company during that self-loathing hungover commute to work.

This podcast--in radio format--is a lifesaver. Highly recommended for those in AA, Al-Anon or anyone battling addiction. Experience, strength and hope 24-7 when you cant get to a meeting. Great for newcomers and those slipping.

Ive been working the Alanon program for 5 years with a sponsor, attending meetings and working steps and have started listening to your podcast as part of my own recovery program along with attending open AA meetings. Its been a huge source of comfort for me to fellowship with others who are in a strong recovery program. I have a very hard time being in the moment, and I spend a lot of time in my car for work. I found this app / podcast very informative. You get to hear hosts and callers experiences and advice on the program and the people that you may encounter. Suggestions on how to choose a sponsor, how to make back up plans to get out of social situations and how to progress as a person that wants to make changes in their life

I would give this app five stars if it did not constantly crash now. I have deleted and reinstalled several times to no avail. Worthless if app cant stay open such a shame.

I am newly sober (32 days!) and purchased the premium upgrade of this app last week. I have been listening to it all day at work everyday since. It offers so much helpful insight and info. The topics are relevant and interesting. The hosts are knowledgable and compassionate. Thank you Mark and friends for all of your efforts. It has sincerely helped me as a new person in recovery. You have a subscriber for life!

This is a good tool to use to keep our minds focused on recovery. The intros are a little long but you can fast forward if you want to. I would and have recommended it to others in the rooms.

HELP!!!! Keeps crashing after one second‼️‼️

When I 1st got sober a year ago I found this app. Its all I had the first few days and it made all the difference for me. Its like having a meeting at your fingertips. Great topics and speakers too. It helps the newcomer who is finding the courage to go to their 1st meeting.

I am an Al Anon member and listen to this podcast regularly. The open talks are worth the premium membership charge $7.99/year) as they provide insight into the suffering of the alcoholic and freedom of recovery, and are often funny. The talk show portion of insightful and thoughtful conversation on a wide variety of great topics is very well moderated by Mark. I give the app a 5 star rating for content, but subtracted stars because it crashes too often and could be better indexed. Keep up the good work.

This app is truly a meeting at your fingertips. The experience, strength and hope that the hosts all share is invaluable. Both serious and funny at times I have enjoyed and learned from every episode. I also recommend becoming a premium subscriber because the open talks are fabulous.
